It’s this cute little guy’s 10th birthday tomorrow! He’s been a tad ignored since I had our daughter so I’m giving him an afternoon dedicated just to him and inviting lots of little kids that adore him as much as I do! I found a recipe online for dog cupcakes to make for his birthday party on Sunday but when I called his vet to double check the safety of all the ingredients he had me change out a few to make it a better recipe. Here’s the updated recipe along with why these substitutes are wonderful to include for your furry pal!

Vow-lloween Party: Ceremony
Our Vow-lloween party was a wonderful success! My husband and I celebrated 10 years of marriage this month. I wanted to have a vow renewal but I was torn because if we did we wouldn’t be able to have our Halloween party. Then I had the idea to combine them into one big party! It was a Corpse Bride theme and it was so much fun! We did an entire wedding, tongue in cheek style, since it worked so well with our theme. I’ll go into more details about the out door decor in this post, inside decor here and the games/cake cutting in this post. While our guests were waiting for the ceremony to begin they mingled and snacked on appetizers like stuffed mushrooms, mini meatballs and brushetta. We scheduled our ceremony to start right after the sun set so it was lit by candlelit. Here is our pre-ceremony & ceremony playlist.
Vow-lloween Party: Outdoor Decor
This was the decor for the ceremony. We made 90% of the decorations outside and indoors. We made 4 8ft tall trees and 4 5ft trees. We bought cement tubing from a local construction company, carved the faces and tops and spray painted the insides black. Then we wrapped them in heavy brown butcher paper. Then we attached them to circular bases to keep them stable and attached the branch arms. Then we decorated them with cobwebs and ravens.
