Gnome Birthday

Oh man, I have a FOUR year old!! I can’t believe how quickly time has passed, I feel so torn. On one hand I miss her when she was little and want to keep her small forever but on the other hand, every day I’m amazed at the things she’s learning and I’m so excited to see her grow! Anyways…when I first asked her what she wanted for the theme she promptly replied, “Coraline” it’s one of her favorite movies so I shouldn’t have been surprised. I went back and forth on if I could use that theme and make it not so creepy until she came home and said she had asked one of her classmates if he wanted button eyes and he started to cry. That decided it and the Coraline theme was no more. Gnomes were MUCH happier and little kid friendly, haha. I didn’t want the traditional blue and red colors so when I found a section of brightly colored Gnomes at Hobby Lobby I snatched them all up and used their colors as my palette. Kim from BarefootStudiosOK created all my wonderful paper printables, including this darling invitation! She was so great to work with and took all my wants and made them into reality. Unique Ballerina Party

I had the amazing opportunity to style a party for Twinkle Twinkle Little Party Magazine earlier this year and I’m SO excited to be able to share it with you now! I decided to go with the theme “Dancing in the Rain” because Brielle is obsessed with everything ballet right now and as a preschooler we definitely experience many storms in this house lately! I was thinking about the quote “Life isn’t about waiting for the storms to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain” a lot and it just seemed perfect!   I kept the color palette soft with baby blues, mint, pink and lots of white accents. Check out below if you want more details and make sure to click HERE to check out the rest of the magazine! It’s full of incredible Spring inspiration!

Easter Peeps Playdate

Brielle has been asking for a playdate with her BFFs for ages and what better theme than an Easter Peeps Playdate?!? Bright colors, glittery sugar and lots of sweets, perfect for a bunch of 3-4 year olds! Sadly, the day before 3 out of 5 of them had fevers and coughs so we had to have a raincheck but hey, it’ll give me a chance to have another fun party! Check out below if you want the details of how I styled this almost Peeps Playdate! 😉

Adult 80’s Party

It was my husband, Scott’s, birthday last week. Late December birthdays are so hard! They always seem to get wrapped up into Christmas or NYE so I try to make his really special! This year I decided we’d head back to the 80’s but have it all 80’s video game or TV show centered to make it more masculine! It was seriously so dang fun and really time consuming. For hours, I looked up SO many popular 80’s food items to make sure they were accurate as well as all the characters used on the food tags. I also made all the signs, banner, centerpieces and food name tags and those were a lot of work too but all in all it turned out Like Totally Rad! Plus, most everyone played along, dressing up in their best 80’s attire. Check out the details below!

I got most of my color inspiration for the party out of this Pac Man banner so lots of yellow, pinks, turquoise, red and I added some bright green through out as well. I used black quite liberally because it really popped out those bright colors!
