Brielle’s turning Three!

 

My daughter, Brielle, is obsessed with Moana so it was only obvious that’s what her birthday party theme would be! I wanted to bring in as many tropical touches as possible to invoke the island feeling. The best way to do that was COLOR! Hot pinks, oranges, bright greens and of course, brilliant turquoise were scattered through our venue as well as flowers and palm leaves. This is another picture heavy post but if you wanna take a trip to Montunui settle in!

Mother’s Day Tea Party

I just hosted my very first Mother’s Day luncheon! I chose a Tea Party theme because when else can you go hog wild with all things pink and dainty?! Plus, you can only have so many pretend tea parties with plastic, albeit darling, teacups and asking Elmo if he’d like a refill for the 20th time…”MOM! You’re not asking him the right way!!” Anyways, you can imagine my excitement at the thought of using actual glassware and enjoying adult conversation with 3 of my favorite ladies in the whole world!

Easter Tablescape

I hosted Easter Dinner this year for my family. It’s the first time in years that all my siblings have been together for Easter! It’s amazing how you can go so long without seeing them and yet just pick up right where you left off. Good natured teasing included! My entire color palette inspiration came from a plate set my mom just gave me. It’s this bright and happy pattern with blue, yellow and sage green all anchored by a cream background. I really had the majority of things already from my house but all spread out through my house. Bringing them together was tied nicely by the bright yellow flowers I bought to later plant in the flowerbeds out front!
