Orange Floral Bridal Shower

I recently threw a Bridal Shower for my cute new Sister-in-Law and knew I wanted something bright and something that reminded me of summer. Orange always reminds me of summer, like orange creamsicles, so I created a palette of orange, white and bright greens. To ground the colors I used a lot of dark wood tones and natural colored twine.

We had a light lunch of cranberry-ginger and turkey sandwiches or avocado and ham sandwiches. We also had orange, strawberry, and spinach salad, a whipped strawberry salad, and watermelon mixed with feta and mint. Dessert was cupcakes, snickerdoodles and assorted brownies. Drinks were water infused with strawberries, oranges and mint as well as a cranberry mock champagne drink. DSC_9454

DSC_9456   My husband made the wooden box centerpieces as well as the wood stump cupcake towers. I reserved some bunches of flowers in my color palette from my local grocery store. Ordering through your grocery store and arranging the floral arrangements is a great way to save money! Doing it that way saves me at least $50.00 per centerpiece. Plus, they group together flowers that are have a cohesive feel so you can feel confident they’ll look great all together.

The L (for her new last name) and menu backer came from Hobby Lobby and I stained them along with the wooden boxes to all work well together.DSC_9449For Favors each guest left with a small flower pot with poppies, daisies or sunflowers to pick from. A sign near by thanked them for celebrating the Bride and Groom while their love grew.DSC_9444
