Today is the National Teddy Bear Picnic! So grabbing some of the cutest little girls I know and we headed into the woods to try and find some cuddly bears having their own picnic! After searching high and low we lucked out and found a big group of them having a grand old time!
We searched high and lot and finally found the picnic and we were delighted. The girls hid for a few moments to get the lay out of the picnic. They were so excited to see so many teddy bears!
Unfortunately, we found this big guy guarding the entrance and he was serious about keeping it exclusively bears. Apparently, they had a real problem with this girl named Goldilocks last year. I heard she ate everything in sight so this picnic they really cracked down on security.
Thankfully, I came prepared with a disguise (Bear ears: Amazon they have plain ears as well) and we all were welcomed with open arms….the teddy bears had no clue 😉
And they looked so much like the rest of the bears that no bear was any the wiser.
There was a TON of yummy food!
Like yogurt with Twix mixture on top ( Baby food jars: courtesy of my little girl Spoons: Hobby Lobby)
Apple Juice in Bear bottles (I bought empty honey bear bottles from a local bee shop. If you don’t have one near you THESE were the cheapest I found online)
Stay “Chip”per Chips (Container and tablecloth: Zurchers. Moss table runner: Tai Pan)
Un”Bear”ably yummy turkey sandwiches. See my sadness concerning these HERE
Teddy Bear Cupcakes (CakesbyJess)
Teddy Bears in bubble baths. Brownie Bites from local bakery with whipped cream in the center to hold the teddy bears
Vase and flowers: Hobby Lobby
Then it was time to eat and have lots of giggles!
They were stoked to find that they each got to take a picnic basket home
Favors (Gummy Bears: Wal-Mart. Picnic Basket Favors: Amazon)
We ended the picnic with a big group picture with all our new friends! We can’t wait to attend again next year!
