After the ceremony we had dinner. We had it catered and I’m glad we did. Normally, I don’t get a chance to visit during our bigger parties because I’m making sure everyone got enough, refilling drinks and worrying that we’ll run out of food!
While we were eating Brielle and my mom enjoyed the soundtrack, full of every Halloween song I know! Here’s our Reception playlist
After dinner we played a Halloween/Wedding Superstition trivia game that we made up. They played as tables and it was so fun seeing them all work together trying to beat the other tables. Click here to download them
We gave one of these to each couple on the winning table.
We also did the annual costume contest. This year was a bit different, they voted on best couple costumes instead of individuals.
We handed out 1st (Lego Couple), 2nd (Dr. Who & The Tardis) and 3rd place (Fred & Wilma).
While we played games we snacked on various flavors of cupcakes and petit fours
The cake was done by my sister in laws Jennifer and Jessie.
Then it was time to cut the cake. We used the set from our wedding, it was really neat pulling all these things out of storage and incorporating them into our day. It added a great sentimental touch to an already touching day!
