Grandparent’s Day Party

It’s Grandparent’s Day on the 10th and we wanted to do something extra special this year to show Brielle’s Nana and Papa how much we love them! I went with the theme “We a-peach-iate you!” because we truly do. They’re always down to help out with watching Miss B while we go on a much needed date or just coming over to visit because they miss her…they’re phenomenal! Everything was variations of peaches to go with the theme! I kept all the food simple though, just easy desserts. Stick around if you wanna see the rest of this peachy party!

I wanted to make sure there were lots of whites to keep the palette from becoming a sea of orange tones and then I threw in some gold tones as well

Hands down my favorite part of the party! I had this tree decoration and knew it’d be perfect to create a peach tree as my center star. I had a local bakery make the peach macarons. I had them dip them in sugar to mimic peach fuzz and had them attach mint leaves to each one. Then I put them in the fridge overnight so they were solid when it was time to attach them to the tree. I used fishing line and created loops for each macaron to sit on, like a swing. I LOVE how it turned out!

We drank a delicious mango/peach concoction. We also had french vanilla ice cream drizzled with hot caramel and topped with a fresh peach. I used clear wine goblets because I thought the colors all together were so pretty. The gold spray painted bottoms also added in some extra gold touches

I created the sign in Photoshop and had it printed as an 11×14 and had it hung in an old picture frame I had lying around. Email me if you’d like the high resolution copy of it!

I love using fresh fruit as vase filler but this is the first time I used peaches. I thought it hid the stems of my silk flowers perfectly and they were a nice height to balance the juice decanter on the other side of the table

I found gorgeous peach honeycomb balls here but I found this specific color in their local store. They were perfect to give off a ripe peach hanging vibe!

I made these incredible cornmeal peach upside down cakes. I was terrified because I am NOT a baker but the recipe was easy to follow and they turned out great! Everyone raved about them. I used this recipe

For favors we gave out small jars of locally made peach jam

Tassel garland I got from ohsoshiny on Etsy

It was such a fun little get together! Those two sure have huge peaches of our hearts!!
